Paul Le Strange Haesloop, 82, of Payson and Phoenix, died June 4, 2006. He was born Feb. 25, 1924 to Mary Gertrude and Christian Frederick Haesloop in Oakland, Calif.
Mr. Haesloop was a World War II veteran, and a member of the American Legion, and served as Scoutmaster in the Boy Scouts both in the Phoenix area and Payson. He retired from Arizona Public Service in Phoenix, later volunteering for Meals on Wheels. Moving to Payson, he worked at Safeway for a number of years, retiring again, and volunteering at the Time Out Thrift Store.
He is survived by his wife, Norma Haesloop of Payson; sons, Michael (Consuela) and Gregory (Ann) Haesloop of Phoenix, and Christopher (Lorena) Haesloop of San Diego, Calif.; stepdaughters, Alicia (Shaun) Harry of Boise, Idaho; and Virginia Ford Eaton of Arlington, Texas; 13 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
