The Relay for Life fund-raiser for the American Cancer Society filled the Payson High School track Friday night from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. Twenty-two teams participated, with a total of 512 team members.

Teams were required to have at least one member on the track at all times during the night.

More than 100 cancer survivors walked in the fund-raiser and more than 1,000 luminarias, each lighted in the memory of someone who fought or lost the battle to cancer.

Though the final figures were not in at press time, the fund-raiser raised $46,000 as of Monday afternoon.
