The Star Valley Town Council will hold a work study session as well as a regular meeting tonight.
The work study, which starts at 4:30 p.m. at 4180 South Highway 260, will focus on an ordinance that adopts amendments to the tax code of Star Valley.
Councilors will also listen to a presentation by Maxine Leather of the Central Arizona Association of Governments to explain what membership in the organization would mean to the town.
Town Manager Lanny Sloan said the tax code amendments deal with excess tax collected and low-income housing.
Both work study items could be carried over to the council meeting for action.
The Town Council, which meets at 6 p.m., will discuss a resolution that declares that the Star Valley tax code is a public record and is on file with the town clerk.
The council will also discuss appointing Sloan as the chief financial officer, to meet the requirements of the Arizona Revised Statutes.
