As many readers of the Payson Roundup's Letters to the Editor page know, I've been a strong proponent for peace. I've written many letters to the editor and to my congressmen.
However, I was recently introduced to a 15-year-old girl in Alabama that makes my efforts look feeble.
This 15-year-old girl in Alabama who isn't afraid to tell it like it is. She built a Web site that exposes the fraud in Washington D.C. with animations. If you haven't seen it yet, you're missing an experience.
I must warn you, some of what you'll see is graphically disturbing. Hopefully, enough to cause even the most complacent among us to re-think what we thought.
Visit http://www.peacetakescourage.com and click on the animations link at the top of the page. There are 70 animations to choose from.
Then share it with your friends. Because, no matter what people say, peace does take courage. And, this 15-year-old girl has more courage in her little finger than many people have in their whole body.
As our present leaders have regrettably shown, it doesn't take much in the way of brains or courage to wage war -- just a huge excess of testosterone, ego, callousness and an addiction to power.
If you have the courage to visit her Web site, you're likely to re-think many of your own beliefs.
