Annual RSVP volunteer event on June 22
"Celebrating a heartfelt thank-you," the annual RSVP Volunteer Recognition event will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, June 22 at Rumsey Park in ramada 5.
This event is co-sponsored by all Retired Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) Stations. All RSVP volunteers are invited to attend (spouses welcome).
Local RSVP stations include: Payson Senior Center and Thrift Shop, Time Out Shelter and Time Out 2 Shop, RTA Hospice, Pine Isabelle Hunt Library, Pine Senior Center and Thrift Shop, Rim Country Regional Chamber of Commerce, Museum of Rim Country Archaeology and Rim Country Museum, Whispering Hope Ranch, Northern Gila County CASA Program, Payson Community Kids and Payson Care Center.
The event is scheduled as follows:
- 10 to 10:30 a.m. Snack and socialize
- 10:30 to 11:15 a.m. Welcome and introduction of special guests: Speaker Winn White, Casa Grande RSVP Volunteer; Presentation of 2005 RSVP Presidential Volunteer Service Awards; Presentation of RSVP Stations and Volunteers.
- 11:15 to 11:45 a.m. Entertainment by Payson Community Kids "Pass It On"
- 11:45 a.m. to 1 p.m. Lunch and door prizes. Lunch provided by the Retired Senior Volunteer Program -- assorted cold cuts and fresh buns with condiments, macaroni salad, fruit tray and beverages and desserts.

Recipes wanted for cookbook
Recipes are still being accepted for inclusion in the Senior Circle Cookbook, which is expected to be off the press by December. Call (928) 472-9290.
Legal help available through Senior Center
Legal help provided by the Pinal-Gila Council for Senior Citizens is available June 13. Advance reservations are required and can be made at the sign-in table in the Payson Senior Center lobby, 514 W. Main St.
The monthly birthday celebration is Wednesday, June 21. Menu for the day is pot roast, vegetables, biscuit, birthday cake and beverage.
