Several Payson racers placed in Saturday's All American Soap Box Derby held at the Green Valley Parkway.
In the stock division, Codi Manuel of Kingman took first place. Of the Payson racers in the stock division, Ian Bloomfield took second. Dailey Carnes fifth. Leah Brahm of Payson took sixth. Joseph Hill took eighth. Also competing in this category were Newman Becker, Ty Brahm, Malcolm Brandt, Melissa Foster, Jake Marr, James Rheinhart, Rachel Walsh and Grant Wearne.
In the Super Stock Division, Krista Osborne of Gilbert took first place. Of the Payson racers in the Super Stock Division, Matt Schwind took third, Jake Hacker took fourth, Isaac Morales took fifth, Keith Foster took sixth, Colin Walsh took seventh and Mackenzie Wearne took eighth.
Johnathon Brandt, Katerina Crom, Warner Lann, Cody Martin, Corey Martin, Keith Prince and Morgan Shimono, all of Payson, also competed in the Super Stock Division.
The event was hosted by the Superior Soap Box Derby Club, the Payson Main Street Program, the Rim Country Regional Chamber of Commerce and the Payson Parks and Recreation Department .
