Habitat For Humanity Taking Applications For Next Home


Payson Area Habitat for Humanity (PAHH) is taking applications for House 14.

The application period will be from June 19 through July 31. An application workshop will be held Monday, June 19 at the Payson United Methodist Church, room 303, from 6 to 8 p.m.

The following is a list of basic qualifications to make application:

  • Reside in substandard housing
  • Lived in the Payson High School attendance area for 12 months
  • Mortgage signers have a steady income between $14,900 to $27,800
  • Have an acceptable background check
  • Be able to make regular no-interest mortgage payments
  • Grant permission for a home visit
  • Be willing to contribute 300 to 500 hours of "sweat equity"
  • Be able to pay move-in costs of $2,200
  • Have a family size suitable for either a 2- or 3-bedroom house
  • Have proof of permanent United States residency
  • Be willing to participate in a homeowners association and comply with the CC&Rs
