Nancy Little strung together a month on the links she won't soon forget.

The pinnacle for the longtime Payson Women's Golf Association Nine Hole Group member was a hole in one she swatted May 4 on No. 14 while using a pitching wedge.

Weeks later in a Lady Niners scramble tournament, she teamed with Shari Cody, Ardi Poole and Delilah Filip to finish as the first-place foursome.

In an even holes one-half handicap tournament, Little deadknotted for third place with fellow Lady Niner Joanne Kirchgassner.

Little, however, wasn't the only PWGA member enjoying a memorable month of tournaments.

In the May 4 "six best holes, one-half handicap" tournament in which Little chalked up her ace, Doris Lemmage swung to a first-place finish overall.

May 18, Lemmage emerged victorious in the even holes, one-half handicap tournament. During the May 25 scramble, she and teammates Isabella Sockrider, Carol Omoto and Ellaree Davidson were second.

Trailing Lemmage in the May 4 tournament were runner-up Jane Patterson and bronze medalist Isabella Sockrider.

During the May 11 fray, Sockrider was first, Patterson second and Norma Fallers third.

In the May 18 tournament, Mary Gillilan was second behind Lemmage.

Third place in the May 25 shoot out ended in a tie between two foursomes.

One included Sue Covert, Sue Stockton, Fallers and Gillilan.

On the other were Karen Peterson, CeCe McCain, Dorothy Hardman and Mary Johnson.
