Mr. Lee Munsil's (candidate for governor) comparison of illegal immigration to a flooded basement sounds more like political horse hockey than a firm stand on the problem that exists. The statement, "... you can't fix a flooded basement until you stop the leaky pipe" is absurd. With this statement, a question comes to mind. Would a logical and sensible person (government) let the water (illegal immigrants) continue to fill the basement (USA) and compromise the whole structure? Or, would you pump the basement, and keep it pumped, while you fixed the leak? We are up to our armpits now. Do we wait until it's over our noses?
I'll be in support of a candidate willing to start the pumping process.
