Charles Francis Sorg, 87, died June 25, 2006 in Payson. He was born Dec. 27, 1918 in Bellaire, Ohio.
Mr. Sorg worked for Wahler's Construction Company as a carpenter.
He served in the Air Force during World War II, fighting on Saipan Island in the Pacific.
He was a member of the Elks and Moose Lodges.
He is survived by his wife, Dawn Sorg of Payson; stepdaughters, Naomi Johnson, Linda Williams, Jill Lovett and Catherine McCown; stepson, Jeffrey May; sister, Helen Sorg; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Pauline Sorg; sister, Pauline; and brothers, Edward and Donald.
Services were held June 29 at Mount Cross Lutheran Church.
