People Want Answers, Not Entertainment, Organizer Says

The Book of Revelations in the Bible has recently been the subject of a TV fictional miniseries and a best selling series of books that started with "Left Behind."

Shawn Boonstra, author of "Revelation Speaks Peace: Unlocking the Signs," will present his views on the Book of Revelations chapter by chapter, at 7 p.m. March 10.

"I believe this presentation will give a sense of direction and security to those who take time to attend," Larry Engel said. Engel saw the presentation in Hawaii recently and was determined to bring it to Payson. He is hosting the presentation with Daryl Oft at The Meeting Place.

"Revelation Speaks Peace will involve both satellite and local elements," Engel said. "(The) program will include a presentation by Boonstra via satellite, an uplifting musical selection and an opportunity for attendees to ask questions."

According to Boonstra, Revelations contains a message of peace and hope for the future.

"With the world in a desperate situation, people don't want entertainment anymore. They want answers," Boonstra said.

His quiz and his commentary on the "desperate situation" can be found at

Walk-ins are welcome, but reservations to the event may be made by calling Engel at 468-6721.

The Meeting Place is located at the southeast corner of Beeline and Phoenix Street.

It is a gathering place open to any group in Payson who abides by a few guidelines: No smoking, no alcoholic beverages and children must be supervised.

"Otherwise the only limitation is dictated by availability of the building," Engel said.
