Zumbro Graduates Pilot Training

Air Force 2nd Lt. Bryan S. Zumbro has graduated from Undergraduate Pilot Training at Vance Air Force Base, Enid, Okla.

The student completed 190 flying hours in either the T-37, T-38, or T-1A aircraft, 62 flight simulator hours, 342 academic hours, and 105 officer training hours, including the fundamentals of aircraft handling instrumentation, formation, and night flying.

At the end of the training, the officer received an aeronautical rating of aviator in the Navy, competent and qualified to perform the duties and accept responsibilities thereof.

Zumbro, an instructor pilot with two years of military service, is the son of Michael and Valarie Zumbro of Payson.

The lieutenant graduated in 2000 from Payson High School, and received a bachelor's degree in 2004 from the U.S. Air Force Academy, Colorado Springs, Colo.
