The amount of information there is to report is certainly increasing. Often, I wonder what I will write about and then, there is so much and I am afraid I am forgetting something, which I did last week, or making mistakes, which I do on a regular basis.
There will be a garage sale on Saturday, March 11, to help raise funds for the Dyslexic Art Show, "Shining A Light in Pine," located in the Legacy Furniture parking area in Payson. Please stop by and show your support of this worthwhile project. Hours will be from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The Old Time Fiddlers will play at 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 15. Hopefully, they will play lots of wonderful Irish music. Everyone is invited to join in, clap and stamp your feet or just relax and listen to this great music.
March Movie Madness begins at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 16, with "Stuart Little 3: Call of the Wild." The movie is 75 minutes long.
On Thursday, March 23, the movie will be "Down and Derby," which is 90 minutes long.
Refreshments will be provided by the library. Children should bring a pillow so they will be comfortable on the floor. If parents have any questions about the content of these movies, please stop by the library.
Ready to Read program
"Every Child Ready to Read" is a very special program for parents, grandparents and caregivers of children from birth to age 5 years. Sponsored by the Isabelle Hunt Memorial Library, this program is designed to help you help your child to reach his full potential. Refreshments will be served.
Each participant will receive a guest bag full of inspiring ways to help your child. "Every Child Ready to Read" will be from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday, March 22 in the activity room of the old Kiwanis building.

Volunteer of the Year nominations are being accepted now by Take Pride Project of Pine and Strawberry. The award will be presented in a special ceremony in early April. Send your nominations to "Volunteer of the Year," Take Pride Project, P.O. Box 1204, Pine AZ 85544.
Last week I said it was Strawberry's Elite requesting nominations for this award. This is a Take Pride project. Sorry for the error. Dyslexic Art Show
Home school children are encouraged to participate in the Dyslexic Art Show at Myra's Gallery in May. All children with learning challenges, from grades K through 12, are invited to participate in this art show.
Stop by Myra's Gallery in Pine for all the information. The gallery is open Thursday through Sunday.
Thrift store sale
The Senior Thrift Store at the Pine Community Center is having a huge sale. Fill a bag with clothes and pay only $1. What a deal. The sale runs from March 22 to April 1. Store hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday.
Pine Strawberry Arts and Crafts group will meet at 9 a.m. Friday, March 31 in the art room at the Pine Community Center. Everyone is invited to come and see what is new in the world of art and crafts.
The Pine Library is sponsoring a used book sale from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, April 8, at the Library Activity Room in the Pine Community Center. Come and pick up your reading material for the next few months.
OneBookArizona is featuring "An Unfinished Life" by Mark Spragg. The discussion will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 26 at the library.
