Add A New Member To Your Pack

This week's offering of adoptable pets features five wonderful animals, all so very deserving of caring homes. Of course, we have more at the shelter. Do you have the time and patience to add a new member to your pack? We hope so!

Brody is a smiley 2-year-old neutered male Australian Shepherd/Husky mix. He has a gorgeous blue merle coat and a long bushy plume of a tail -- absolute eye candy. His gait is wonderful to behold, much like a prancing stallion. He is very easy to handle for his size and is a pleasure to take for walks on leash. He has been an inside/outside dog and is housebroken. Brody is used to active children, from toddlers on up. He likes other dogs, and enjoys riding in the car. He revels in playing in the snow! He is a great dog in every way, except he can jump fences when left unattended, so he will need a secure place to stay when his people are not around.

Baja is a 4-month-old neutered male Border Collie mix. He is just adorable with his polka dot nose, pearly white teeth and white-tipped tail. He has a personality to match his cute figure.

This bright-spirited little soul is happy and friendly to everyone. He is a very good boy on leash, even though he is still quite young. He is the type of dog who strives to please people, and whoever adopts him will have no trouble training him to meet his highest potential. Baja is a keeper!

Max is a dashing 2-year-old neutered male Australian Shepherd/Golden Retriever mix. He is a very nice size, not too big, not too small, and perfect for hugging. He has a plush white and gold coat that will require occasional grooming to keep him looking spiffy, but he doesn't mind the attention.

Max is a bilingual dog. He understands commands in both English and Spanish. He is used to children and other dogs and is easy to handle on leash. He came to our shelter with his best friend Buddy.

Bailey is a luscious long-haired gray, white and cream-colored spayed female kitty. She is 1 1/2 years old and is very sweet and friendly. She would like to become the princess in your life -- pampered and put on a pedestal. Bailey likes to be held and told how beautiful she is.

Mistletoe is a 1-year-old spayed female long-haired gray tabby cat. Her luxurious coat reminds us of the fur coats that are worn to the opera. Her face has the most beautiful markings on it. She is a very sweet, coquettish and loving kitty girl.

Payson Humane Society news

Payson Humane Society is asking for donations to be used for the purchase of kitten food. Our food sheds are full to bursting from the generous donations of adult dog and cat food received during the holiday season. Therefore, we have set up a special food fund. The money collected in this fund will be used to purchase kitten food and to replenish other food supplies as they get low. Payson Feed has special gift certificates you can purchase for the humane society to be used for food. Gift cards from Safeway, Bashas' and Wal-Mart are also welcome, and will be added to the food fund.

Payson Humane Society is currently offering a Spay/Neuter Rebate Coupon program. Pick up a rebate coupon at the animal shelter, 812 S. McLane Rd. Have your pet spayed or neutered anytime before May 31, 2006. Bring the rebate coupon and a copy of the vet bill showing proof of the surgery to the shelter and receive $20 cash back.

This offer is limited to the first 50 people who pick up coupons at the shelter; one coupon per family. For more information, call (928) 474-5590.
