Gerald Otto Cavallari, 71, died at his home in Prescott Valley on Feb. 22, 2006.
Mr. Cavallari was born the youngest of five children to Otto Mikel and Amelia Ohm Cavallari on May 13, 1934 in Buffalo, N.Y.
The family moved to California when he was 12 years old. He graduated from La Jolla High School in San Diego, Calif. where he met and married his high school sweetheart Beverly Jean Hayes in 1955. They had three children.
Mr. Cavallari worked as a journeyman glazier for Local Union 1399 of San Diego, Calif.. The family moved to Ramona in 1973 and lived there for 19 years.
After retiring, Mr. Cavallari and his wife moved to Payson. The couple enjoyed many years of traveling to new places, including Europe. In 2001, they relocated to Prescott Valley.
Mr. Cavallari enjoyed the outdoors, and was a gifted stained glass artisan.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Beverly J. Cavallari; children: Michael Cavallari of Ramona, Calif., Jeanie Abarca of Escondido, Calif., and Jerry Cessna of Fairfield, Calif.; two sisters, Violet Saraceno and Isabel Corbett of San Diego, Calif., and seven grandchildren.
