Though underage drinking's no joke, a consortium of substance abuse and mental health organizations will host a family afternoon of fun April 1.
"The whole idea is a family carnival event," said Rim Guidance Prevention Specialist Abigail Pederson.
Pederson hopes the event will create a forum where adults and teens can discuss the dangers of alcohol.
The event takes place at the Payson High School football field, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, April 1.
Come for a day of laughter, games and an opportunity to learn healthy alternatives to drinking.
For more information, contact Pederson at (928) 468-8055, ext. 3080 or Darlene Duncan, at ext. 3804.
