Rev. Jerome Rabinkoff


Rev. Jerome Rabinkoff was born in Sheepshead Bay, N.Y. on Oct. 18, 1926, and died March 20, 2006.

He attended the New York School of Automotive Trades. He moved to Arizona in May 1967. In 1971 he graduated from Arizona Bible College with a degree in theology, and in 1973 received a master's degree in education and counseling.

In 1976, Mr. Rabinkoff was ordained in the Evangelical Free Church and joined Hospital Chaplaincy Ministry, served as chaplain at the Maricopa County Hospital and also at Boswell Memorial. In the past, he was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police, serving as a chaplain.

After 20 years, he retired from the Maricopa County Juvenile Court as a juvenile probation officer.

He was an active member of the Pine/Strawberry community.

Mr. Rabinkoff is survived by his wife, Betty, of 52 years; daughters: Cheryl Lyn and Leanne; five grandchildren: Danielle, Nichole, Jeremy, Vanessa, and Elexis; and one great-grandson, Anthony.

Memorial Services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 2, at the Strawberry Chapel, 8579 Fossil Creek Rd. in Strawberry.

Donations in Rabinkoff's name may be made to the Pine/Strawberry Senior Center, or the Strawberry Chapel in the Pines.
