The Library Friends of Payson would like to express their thanks to all the participants in our very successful Chefs' Extravaganza held on Feb. 25. The event raised $5,637, which will go to purchase books and other materials for the library.
Special appreciation and thanks are extended to the following restaurants and their chefs, cooks and staff for their generous contributions of time, talent, and fantastic food: Cool Pines Cafe, Country Kitchen, Cucina Paradiso, Fargo's, Mandarin House, Ox Bow, Randall House, Rimside Grill, Zane Grey Steak House.
To accompany the fine cuisine, a selection of wine was provided by: Bashas', Beverage House, Burgess Cellars of Napa Valley, Rim Liquor, Safeway, Southern Wine and Spirits, and Wal-Mart. Thank you.
Our thanks to other businesses helping with supplies and services for the event: APS, Best Western Payson Inn, Channel 4 TV, Gila Co. Payson Posse and Capt. Orlando, KCMA, KMOG, and KRIM radio stations, Kohl's Ranch, Legacy Home Furnishings, Payson Florist and Gifts, Payson Party Plus, Inc., Payson Roundup, Plant Fair Nursery and Sun State Equipment.
Thank you to the Tonto Apache Tribe for the use of their facility. Thanks to the Payson Art League and Diana Garrity who managed the art raffle which gave all attendees a chance to win beautiful pieces of art and jewelry generously donated by the Studio Tour artists. The event would not have been possible without over 50 volunteers who planned, set up, ran, and cleaned up after the event
And finally, thanks to all who attended the event. We hope you enjoyed yourselves, and look forward to seeing you again at our next Chefs' Extravaganza.
Barbara Brenke, Secretary, Library Friends of Payson
