Robyn Hill and Karen Randall have owned and operated Kutz Etcetera in Pine for several years, but now they are expanding beyond hair and nail services.

The shop, located in Bishop Park, 3617 N. Highway 87, Suite F, now has a collection of clothing, bathing suits, a variety of jewelry, purses and watches.

The ladies at Kutz Etcetera in Pine have expanded into fashion, jewelry and accessories. Owner Robyn Hill, left, Melissa Hill and Maria Wright show off some of the inventory at the shop. Robyn Hill said they try to have something for everyone.

Tanning services are also offered, with an accompanying line of skin care products.

"We use specialty bronzing bulbs," Robyn said. "Clients get an actual tan. It's very popular with people from Payson as well as Pine and Strawberry."

In addition to the product expansion, Kutz Etcetera has also added a pedicure spa system and expanded its staff.

The shop has two new technicians to care for clients -- Robyn's daughter, Melissa Hill, and Maria Wright who came to the area in February from Scottsdale. Wright has vacationed in the area over the years and recently bought a home in the area.

Melissa has been in the business for two years, while Maria started in 1990.

"I like the little things I can do to make a person's day," Melissa said.

Melissa does pedicures, manicures, cuts and color. Maria's specialties are pedicures and manicures.

"I'm good at both color and cutting," said Melissa, "But I enjoy cutting the most."

She is also a first-class shopper, said her mother, Robyn.

"Her shopping skills led to us bringing in a line of fresh and youthful styles," Robyn said.

Melissa explained that people were always asking her where she bought her clothes, so they decided to just bring the clothes to Pine.

"We do the city shopping for you," Robyn said. They make buying trips every two weeks, to the Valley and other large markets.

Both the clothes and jewelry have a fresh, contemporary look, but are suitable for all ages.

As the weather has started warming up, the shop's business has started picking up, Robyn said.

"They are getting their tans and pedicures for sandals," she said.

They recommend that new tanning clients start with only 6 to 8 minutes -- the system doesn't require rotating.

The maximum time they allow a client to tan is 20 minutes. The system also allows for a different tan -- or none at all -- for the face.

The shop's pedicure spa system provides a variety of options for clients. A regular pedicure takes about 90 minutes and features scrubs and masks for the feet.

A paraffin wax treatment is also available, as well as specialty therapies for cracked heels and calluses.

The owners and staff at Kutz Etcetera are beauty school graduates and continue their education in specialties throughout the year to stay up-to-date with salon trends.

"We offer all the goods to make women feel special and beautiful from head to toe," Robyn said.

The shop is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, and from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday.

After-hours are available by appointment only.
