As Star Valley evolves into a town of its own, the municipal administration and the town council seek official headquarters.
Tuesday night, the Star Valley Town Council will consider hiring a surveyor and leasing Forest Service property.
This action allows the town to move from its temporary home at the Star Valley Baptist Church to a permanent venue.
"A great location has been identified," wrote Lanny Sloan, town manager. "We are beginning the process to obtain this land."
The council will also discuss its position on pending litigation between plaintiffs George Haught and other community members, and State of Arizona Attorney General Terry Goddard.
During the April 18 council meeting, councilors discussed becoming a party to the lawsuit, giving the nascent town more control over its future.
Chris Benjamin, Star Valley resident, will also present a report on well monitoring.
