What do you get when you combine an egg with hot glue, wire springs and a parachute? You get a unique invention created by 10-year-old Kelsey Burba of Julia Randall Elementary School.
Students at JRE were challenged to create a contraption that would prevent a raw egg from breaking after being dropped 40 feet to the ground from atop an Arizona Public Service cherry picker truck Tuesday.
The school's annual egg-drop competition is designed to promote problem solving, creative design and ingenuity.
Burba's egg did survive.
