Q: I think the fish are being poisoned before the trout stocking time, and, of course, the trout die when the water gets warm. What's up? Also, are park employees breaking the duck eggs?
A: "No, the fish are not being poisoned," said Bill Schwind, parks director for the Town of Payson. "Trout are stocked every two weeks and the water is tested every week by the water department to meet federal standards.
"We do not intentionally damage any nests. We have had incidents where kids have picked the eggs up and were packing them around or throwing them."
