The former chairman of the Pine Strawberry Water Improvement District, Barbara Hall, is back in charge of the group.
In April, the board of the PSWID voted to remove John Breninger as chairman, leaving co-chairman Paul Paul in charge.
At the group's May 18 meeting, the board elected Hall to finish Breninger's term, with Paul continuing as co-chair, said secretary Gary Sherlock.
Also at the May 18 meeting, the PSWID's Water Resources Development Committee proposed two critical actions through its report to the board. They requested a contract for a hydrologic evaluation of the proposed site of a deepened well in Strawberry and the surrounding
area to estimate the potential for water. It was recommended that Michael Ploughe of Highland Water Resources Consulting be hired to make the evaluation, as he is familiar with the groundwater resources and well technology in the area.
The PSWID board accepted the recommendation and agreed to contract with Ploughe for $1,250.
