Jeanette Illene Roush died May 23, 2006. She was born Feb. 26, 1920 in Frankfort, Ind. She was adopted by Charlie and Stella Dobson in April 1928.
She graduated from Butler University in 1943 and married James William Dorsett in October of the same year.
She worked as a school teacher with an affinity for students of the junior high age. She moved to Mesa with her family in July 1955 and lived in the Pine/Payson area for many years before returning to Mesa in 2003.
She is survived by three children, James W. Dorsett II of Phoenix, David L. Dorsett of Phoenix and Wanda M. Thompson of Mesa, six grand children and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband.
A memorial celebration will be held Saturday, June 3, at 10 a.m. at the East Rest Haven Park Cemetery Chapel, 4310 East Southern Ave. in Phoenix.
