Donald Lee Haworth, of Heber-Overgaard, died Oct. 30, 2006.
Born in Marion, Ind. Aug. 9, 1934 to Kenneth and Ona (Gillam-Evans) Haworth, he grew up, married, and began his family in the Marion area. He married Sandra Joan Rumple in 1956 and was blessed with son David in 1957 and daughter Teresa in 1959. After moving from Indiana to Arizona in 1965, the couple welcomed son Dennis in 1968.
Mr. Haworth worked for many years as a printer and spent almost 30 years with Rocky Mountain Bank Note before retiring in 1996.
He is survived by his ex-wife Sandy; children: Dave (Becky), Teresa, and Dennis (Shannon O'Hara-Haworth); grandchildren: Brandon Haworth (Sarah), Kylie Haworth, Courtney Haworth, Stephanie Wilbur, Sarah Wilbur, Timothy O'Hara-Haworth, and Benjamin O'Hara-Haworth; great-granddaughter Alice Haworth; sister Peggy Jacobs (Lloyd); as well as many nieces, nephews, former in-laws, other relatives, and a large number of friends.
Mr. Haworth chose to be cremated and did not want any flowers. His wishes were to have any donations in his memory to be sent to Hospice of the Valley, 1510 East Flower Street, Phoenix AZ 85014-5656, or Boy Scouts of America -- Grand Canyon Council, 2969 North Greenfield Road, Phoenix AZ 85016.
There will be a memorial service Saturday, Nov. 18 in Payson. Meet at Tiny's Family Restaurant, 600 E. Highway 260, for lunch at 11 a.m., followed by a memorial at 12:30 p.m.
