It is the mission of the Human Resources Department to provide quality administration in Human Resources and Risk Management to the Town of Payson, the Town Council, and Town employees through:
- Facilitating the productivity and effectiveness of the Town of Payson.
- Development of employees in ways that are satisfying to the individual and beneficial to the Town.
- Anticipating, providing and administering Human Resource services consistent with the changing needs of the Town.
- Promoting safety first in the work place in order to provide the employee a safer environment.
As an employer the Town believes in recruiting and retaining the best employees possible to provide services to the citizens. A great deal of effort goes into the recruitment and selection process. All applicants are screened to ensure they meet the minimum qualifications for the position, finalists are skills tested and interviewed. The applicant the Town is interested in hiring is required to complete a pre-employment physical to ensure physical abilities to perform the essential functions of the position. We also conduct a comprehensive background investigation.
