Residents Have Caring Spirit

On Oct. 12, 2006 at about 9:40 a.m. we were involved in a motorcycle accident on Highway 87 southwest of Strawberry.

We are grateful for the outcome and for all the help, kindness and concern given to us. Your state police, paramedics, and the emergency room staff were very good-natured and capable. They all seemed to care about us and were interested in our comfort and well being.

We are also very grateful to Brenda Bendorf, Tom Johnson, and others who rendered assistance at the scene and phoned us when we got home to Utah to see how we were doing.

We laid our bike down when another vehicle did not yield and entered our traffic lane from a "slow vehicle pull-off" lane unexpectedly. We are doing well thanks to the good service rendered and for our protective gear. We are blessed to be here today, but we are more fortunate for having met such wonderful people; even the people at the Holiday Inn Express in Payson were very accommodating.

We want to take this opportunity to thank you all and to tell you what a wonderful caring spirit your county has. We look forward to coming back to Gila County and seeing more of the area and we promise to take the same beautiful road again with our motorcycle and new protective gear.
