Merry Mall

Payson United Methodist church presents its fifth annual Merry Mall from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 18 at 414 N. Easy St.

There will be plenty of homemade crafts and baked goods with all the proceeds going to mission projects.

Come and do all your gift shopping, then relax with a bowl of chili and/or a warm slice of pie for a nominal charge.

Coffee and tea will be available, too.

Beyond Limits Disability Ministry meets Nov. 14

Beyond Limits Disability Ministry -- a Christian group for adults with developmental disabilities, age 18 and older -- is meeting this month from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 14 at Mountain Bible Church, 302 E. Rancho Road.

A delicious dinner will be provided, followed by the founders of Payson Supply Line who will let us know how they minister to our troops.

We will also have fun making "candy bombs" for the troops to use for children in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Caregivers and service providers for the participants are welcome to attend.

The ministry is without charge and is supported by a number of local Christian churches.

Holiday Craft and Bake Sale

The Women's Ministries of Payson First Assembly of God are having their annual Holiday Craft and Bake Sale from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Nov. 10 and 11 at Payson First Assembly, 1100 W. Lake Drive (the church at Green Valley Park). Enter from the upper level parking area.

Come and do your holiday shopping early.

High Country Holiday Bazaar

The Fourth Annual High Country Holiday Bazaar will be held from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 11 at Community Presbyterian Church, 800 W. Main St.

There will be 40 vendors ready to welcome you to this event.

Luncheon will be provided by the deacons of the church (for a reasonable fee) and the Presbyterian Women will host their wonderful bake sale of homemade goodies.

We have received word that Santa Claus will be making a stop at the bazaar between 10 and 11:30 a.m., to the delight of all the children. Cameras are welcome to take that special picture of the youngsters for Grandpa and Grandma.

Christian Prayer Network sets program

The Christian Prayer Network will have a community program at 6 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 18 at Mountain Bible Church, 302 E. Rancho Road in Payson.

The theme is "Seeking God's Heart" with reverence, repentance and rejoicing.

The ongoing goal of the Christian Prayer Network is growing and increasing personal prayer of revival and enabling a deeper growth in prayer life which leads to a deeper relationship with Christ.

To accomplish this, participants work with prayer coordinators who provide encouragement, training, resources, networking as well as developing prayer events and activities.

Winter clothing needed

It's time to dig out all your winter clothing. If you're looking to clean out your closets, please donate your gently used coats and clothing to us. We are especially in need of children's coats and winter clothing. All donations stay here in the Payson area. Please bring your donations to Payson Church of Christ, 401 E. Tyler Parkway, from 9 a.m. to noon Sundays; or to Oasis Christian Books and Gifts, 512 S. Beeline Highway in the Twin Pines Shopping Center, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday. Please drop off your donations by Dec. 3.
