Patricia Dorene Peters, 65, of Payson, a loving wife and mother, died Nov. 6, 2006. She was born Feb. 28, 1941 in Fresno, Calif., and has resided in Payson for the past 10 years.
She and her husband, Don have been married for 46 years, and have two daughters, Yvonne and Kerry.
Mrs. Peters was a licensed Realtor and a full-time homemaker. She was an aspiring artist under the tutelage of James Strong of the Payson Community College, a member of the Payson Art League. She was passionate about the great outdoors, enjoying many outdoor activities such as family camping, hunting, and fishing adventures. She was also an accomplished doll maker, and loved to scrapbook with friends. Mrs. Peters was an active member of the Mogollon Health Alliance, as well as a member of the Tonto Rim Search and Rescue Team.
She is survived by her husband, Don Peters; daughters, Yvonne Rhodes and Kerry (Julius) Fortuna; grandchildren: Christine, Tyler, Matthew and Brittany; brother, Ross V. Dwelle and family; and sister, Joan Anaya and family.
A memorial service to celebrate her life is being held at 5 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 11 at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 1000 N. Easy St., Payson, with a reception to follow.
