Runner Thanks Habitat For Good Race

From a participant's perspective, the Rim Country Challenge (half marathon and 5K) was a big success. There was good food and plenty of it at the Carb Dinner on Friday evening. Lots of volunteers Friday and Saturday preparing, setting up and serving the dinner, providing runners with their run packets, marking the course, helping with aid stations, directing runners at the turns, controlling traffic and working at the finish line. I thank all of these people, the Payson Habitat for Humanity, the Mazatzal Casino and other race sponsors. Without their support, there would not be runs for us to enjoy. The Indian art used as awards was very special and will be displayed, while a medal would have been tossed in a drawer and soon forgotten. I hope the event was also a financial success for the Habitat for Humanity.
