Watching Another Council Vote For Special Interest

Editor:

After many years of council actions that are not representative of the common citizen, they said enough is enough and spoke out for changes that would put reasonable controls on growth and find ways to solve our water problem.

It now appears that we have a number of councilors who are going against the wishes of the average resident and so we have the same old, same old.

Special interest groups have been controlling the town long enough and it needs to be stopped.

Representation should be given that's in the best interests of the general public and this council is not doing the right thing at all.

Tabling the smart growth plan was a slap in the public's face and a plus for special interest -- again.

If this council won't do the right thing, then further steps must be considered.
