Employees of RTA Hospice and Palliative Care wait to see what ornaments will show up first in the Forest of Angels this holiday season.
The forest is comprised of trees planted in remembrance of loved ones.
The newest addition to the forest is not a tree at all, but a small Pampas grass that has been added to the landscape in memory of Tom Hughes.
Cannon Hughes of Gilbert helped her grandparents, Tim and Kathleen Hughes of Payson, plant the grass and set the commemorative plaque.
"While Cannon was not born in time to meet her great-grandpa, she has seen his pictures and heard numerous stories about his ranch days at the T-Ranch in Deer Creek and of his commitment to volunteerism with St. Vincent de Paul," Kathleen Hughes said.
