Bruce Gordon Ward Jr., died Nov. 20, 2006 in Payson at the age of 61. He was born Nov. 4, 1945 in Sacramento, Calif.
Mr. Ward moved to Payson in 1951. He was a member of the Church of the Nazarene in Payson and the Gilbert Family Church in Gilbert, Ariz.
He was a member of the NRA and Tonto Sportsman's Club.
He attended elementary school in Payson, the Air Force Academy High School, the University of Arizona and the University of Phoenix.
Mr. Ward worked for Maricopa County, Tanner Construction, Banner Construction, the Town of Gilbert, Carter & Burgess and was self-employed with North Peak Engineer Consultants. He also was an instructor for the Arizona Game and Fish Department and a member of the National Guard.
Survivors include his wife, Helen (Bratton) Ward; daughter, Kendra Laverne (Paco) Budjenska; sons, Robert Justin (Carlee) Ward, Kevin Bruce (Stacie) Ward; sister, Patty Collie; and eight grandchildren: Angelique Crews, Brendon Crews Ward, Nicholas Crews Ward, Samira Crews Ward, Janis Ward, Jared Ward, Ryan Ward and Camryn Ward.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 2 at the Church of the Nazarene, 200 E. Tyler Parkway, Payson.
