Assembly of God hosts guest speaker

The Payson First Assembly of God Church will host Dr. Gordon Anderson at its 10:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. services, Sunday, Oct. 8.

Anderson is the president of North Central University in Minneapolis, Minn. He is a member of the National Commission for Doctrinal Purity.

Audiences are continually challenged and encouraged through his ministry. His style is one of delivering poignant truth with content-based teaching and practical application.

Community Presbyterian offers ‘Spiritual Healing'

The Payson Community Presbyterian Church is continuing a special monthly service focusing on "Spiritual Healing and Wholeness" the second Thursday of each month.

The next program is at 6 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 12 at the church, 800 W. Main St.

The service is designed to address both personal and corporate healing and wholeness, and includes the Sacrament of Holy Communion.

Pine church creating Christian prayer network

The Church on Randall Place in Pine is creating a Christian prayer network.

The goal of the program is growing and increasing personal prayer of revival and enabling a deeper growth in prayer life which leads to a deeper relationship with Christ, by working with prayer coordinators, by providing encouragement, training, resources, networking as well as developing prayer events and activities.

Saturday evening services end for Lutheran church

Shepherd of the Pines Lutheran Church, 507 W. Wade Lane, announces that Saturday, Oct. 7 will be the last Saturday evening service for the summer season.

Please join us for the Wednesday evening services, which begin at 6 p.m. Dec. 6.

Pine Ward winter hours begin

The Pine Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will move the start time of Sunday services back one hour for the winter.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. Oct. 8 through April 1, 2007.

The change will coincide with the church's semi-annual general conferences.
