Those are a few of the things 60 students learned at Julia Randall Elementary School during the first week of fall break.
"The interim session is for those students who need a boost," said Alan Ammann, a fifth-grade teacher at JRE.
"It gives (teachers) an opportunity to relate to students on a little different level than regular class time."
The atmosphere is casual and fun during the three-hour, four-day sessions.
Student/teacher ratio was about 6-to-1.
