Philip G. Schroeder, 74, of Geronimo Estates, died Oct. 15, 2006 at his home. He was born Aug. 2, 1932 in Chicago, Ill.
He spent time in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict; apprenticed as a mason in Chicago, Ill.; moved to Phoenix, in 1957 and retired to Payson in 2001.
He is survived by his wife, Glenda; two brothers: Harry Schroeder and Tom Schroeder; six children: Philip, Catherine, Theresa, Joyce, William and Barbara; five step-children: Dawn, Kim, Ron, Mike and Lee; 20 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews and many friends.
He was preceded in death by: sisters, Teresa McCarthy, and Florence Walsh; and brothers, Richard Schroeder and Joseph Schroeder.
There will be a memorial service at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 21 at the East Verde Baptist Church in Whispering Pines.
