In a brief meeting Tuesday night, the Star Valley Council unanimously approved the contract for its new town manager, Vito Tedeschi.
The town council voted 5-0 to approve the contract. Mary Ann Kotelnicki and Art Lloyd were not present.
Mayor Chuck Heron said, Tuesday night, that Tedeschi has been notified.
The new town manager is scheduled to begin work on Nov. 6.
The contract the council approved calls for Tedeschi to earn $70,720 annually, and lasts two years.
Included in the contract are three weeks of paid vacation every year and 18 sick days a year or 1.5 days a month.
He also will be given a town vehicle to use for Star Valley business, a retirement plan and a general business expense account.
If, for any reason, the council were to terminate Tedeschi, under the terms of the contract, he will be given a three-month severance package or three months of his annual salary.
