Hospital Should Move Its Smoking Area

Several weeks ago, I hand-delivered a letter to the administrator of the Payson Hospital. In that letter I brought to his attention a problem I was having whenever I entered his hospital. I have lung problems and each time I've entered the main doors I've had to hold my breath because of the smoke there. I asked him if it would be possible to move the "smoking area" away from the front door. It would have been simple to move it 20 feet away so the smoke would not bother me and hundreds, if not thousands, of people who have to enter through that main door. His response was troubling at the least. He informed me "we are in compliance with OSHA laws."

That hospital is there to help people in medical need, not make them worse. I would encourage others to write him with the same request.
