Rosemary Harvey, known as "Grandma Rose" to many, died Oct. 23, 2006, at the age of 74. She was born to Francis and Jennie Layaou on April 18, 1932.
Mrs. Harvey pursued a nursing career in Michigan, Indiana and Massachusetts.
When she moved to Arizona, she changed her career to interior plant specialist, and later worked as a cashier at Circle K.
She moved to Payson in 1996 to live with her daughter and family. While here, she helped with day care in the home and to raise the many children that came into her daughter's home.
She is survived by her daughter, Karen (Don) Lloyd; son, George (Jerrie); brothers: Jim, Glenn, Harry; sisters: Margaret and Adeline; grandchildren: Kyle Dimes; Angela, Scott, Tony, Bobby and Michael Lloyd; Braedon, Austin and Cody Houx; great-grandchildren, Joshua and Matthew, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her ex-husband, William; brothers: Cliff, Ed, Jack, Frank; sisters: Nancy, Annette and Isabell; and parents, Francis and Jennie Layaou.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 4 at RTA Hospice, 511 S. Mud Springs Road, Payson.
