Dr. Bob Sanders, Bill Lee, Kathryn Lee, and Kathy Almendarez of the Zane Grey Kiwanis Club participated in a trash pick up day at the Waterwheel Campground, the day after the Labor Day weekend.
Disheartened by a lack of garbage cans at the popular campsite, Kiwanis members decided to adopt the picnic and camping spot.
Their goal is to someday provide garbage cans and possible Porta-Johns for major holiday weekends.
