In response to Lorraine Nelson's "Gas too high" Sept. 8 letter to the Roundup, I can only say thank you for your letter of resentment at the price of gasoline in Payson. Maybe if more of us were louder in our resentment of these prices, the owners/managers of these stations would actually keep the prices in line with their costs. This past Thursday, I was in California and purchased gas for $2.99 a gallon. California gas taxes are high, and Payson has always been at least $0.50 less.
I also resent the price of gas here in Payson, but must thank Maverik for starting the downward trend to a more reasonable price on gas.
