September: The Perfect Month

SENIOR MOMENTS

September. What's not to like about this lovely month? Gone is the oppressive heat of mid-summer, the monsoons fade into memory, winter's chill is still a long way off. Stores overflow with colorful fall bounty --deep orange pumpkins, apples in various hues of red, yellow and green. Squash and potatoes add to the beauty as do purple plums and eggplant. A feast for the eyes as well as the palate.
