Reverend Daniel F. Tantimonaco was ceremoniously installed as vicar of the congregation of St. Paul's Episcopal Church by the Right Reverend Kirk Stevan Smith, the Episcopal Bishop of the Diocese of Arizona on Saturday morning.
This is a major milestone for St. Paul's. It is the first time the church has had a full-time vicar. After a lengthy search across the United States, Father Dan was called. The Tantimonacos arrived in Payson seven weeks ago.
"Our Sunday school has grown from two to 11 children and church membership is starting a growth spurt because of Father Dan," said Steve Drury, senior warden.
"We love Father Dan and his family though we have only known them a short time," said Janet Zilisch.
