Motorists traveling on State Route 87 (Beeline Highway) between Phoenix and Payson can expect delays at times due to a pavement repair project in the Slate Creek area north of Sunflower.
The highway will be narrowed to one lane in each direction at times while crews work Mondays through Thursdays during daylight hours this fall.
The speed limit will be reduced to 35 mph in the work zone. Northbound commercial trucks will be required to use a brake check area.PS officers will be onsite to monitor traffic.
Motorists should be prepared to slow down and give themselves extra travel time while the work is under way.he project is expected to be completed in early November.
