Harley Raymond Carter, 64, of Payson, died in Phoenix March 30, 2007.
Mr. Carter was born in Wilmington, Del. Sept. 10, 1942. He was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene, Payson, and Church of the Nazarene, Scottsdale. He was also a member of the American Legion Post 69 and was on the Arizona State Board of Realtors. He was a self-employed Realtor and worked for 25 years as an employee of US West.
He is survived by his mother, Zeida E. Carter of Payson; sons, Matthew R. Carter and his wife, Casey, of Phoenix, and Michael C. Carter and his wife, Trisha, of Tempe; his sisters, Barbara L. Orcutt and her husband, Jerry, of Payson, and Betty Ann Carter of Payson. He is also survived by his brother, Terrance J. Carter of Phoenix; 11 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 5, 2007 at Messinger Payson Funeral Home.
