The Town of Payson's 13th annual Easter egg scramble for children ages 12 and under will begin at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, April 7 at Rumsey Park. Children can collect eggs filled with candy and coupons for special prizes.
Scramble times and age groups are as follows: ages 0-3, 9:30 a.m.; ages 4 and 5, 9:45 a.m.; ages 6 and 7, 10 a.m.; ages 8 and 9, 10:15 a.m.; ages 10-12, 10:30 a.m.; special needs, 10:45 a.m. There is no charge for this event.
Photos with Easter Bunny
The Payson Humane Society will take photos of children with a giant Easter Bunny or llamas from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at North Rumsey Park. There is no charge for the photos, but a donation to PHS is suggested and very much appreciated.
Easter egg hunt
Wal-Mart of Payson will have an Easter egg hunt at noon Saturday, April 7 for children aged 3 to kindergarten, and another hunt for students in kindergarten through the third grade.
The hunt will start at the south lobby, near Subway.
Powell House invitation
The staff and residents of the Powell House are inviting family and friends to come to the facility at 1 p.m. Easter Sunday, April 8 for an egg hunt. Whoever finds the Golden Egg will get a special prize.
Free movie Friday
The public is invited to start a new Easter tradition by sharing the first annual, free public showing of Mel Gibson's "The Passion of the Christ" at 7 p.m. Friday, April 6 at the Tonto Apache gymnasium.

Resurrection Celebration Saturday
Christian recording artists Two or More will headline the musical entertainment at the fifth annual Resurrection Celebration, to be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, April 7 at Rumsey Park on North McLane Road. Payson Ministerial Fellowship sponsors the free event which features food and information booths, and fun for the kids including a bounce house, hay rides, clowns, balloons, face painting, candy and prizes. There will also be a clothing give-away throughout the day. In case of bad weather, the celebration will move to the Rim Country Middle School gym. People of all faiths are welcome.
Anglican Church of the Holy Nativity
Anglican Church of the Holy Nativity, 1414 North Easy Street, (corner of Easy Street and Bradley), Payson has set the following schedule of Holy Week Services:

The Mountain Bible Church congregation will have its Easter Celebration at 10 a.m. Sunday, April 8 at the Payson High School Auditorium. The children's program will be in the old gym.

Good Friday, April 6, the church will be open for prayer and private reflection from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Then at 7 p.m. there will be an ecumenical Good Friday service at Community Presbyterian Church on Main Street, where Mount Cross's Pastor Elaine Watskey will be delivering the sermon.
Services on Easter Sunday include a traditional Easter service at 8:30 a.m.; an Easter brunch and egg hunt at 9:45 a.m.; and a contemporary Easter service at 10:30 a.m.
