Shirley May Blalock, 74, of Payson, died April 2, 2007. She was born in Manchester, Mich., on May 15, 1932, to John and Ina Dunny.
Mrs. Blalock lived in the Rim Country for 27 years. Many will remember her working at Big Jeff's Sporting Goods and Heartstrings gift shop.
She was a dignified lady who lived a dignified life.
Mrs. Blalock is survived by her husband, George Blalock, of Payson; daughters Debbie Blalock, Beth Taylor, Marci Snodgrass and Kim Wilson; sons, Mike Blalock, Mark Blalock, David Blalock, and Matt Blalock; sisters, Darlene Egler and Delores Cook; brothers Chuck Dunny, Ray Dunny, Tom Dunny, Larry Dunny, John Dunny, Peter Dunny and James Dunny; 19 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her son, Jeff Blalock, daughter-in-law, Loree Blalock, and son-in-law, Chris Wilson.
There will be a family memorial and cremation, after the donation of her organs to science.
Anyone interested may make a donation to Payson Hospice in lieu of flowers or contributions.
