50 New Jobs Created By New Mazatzal Hotel

With the opening of the new Mazatzal Hotel and Casino later this year, an estimated 50 new positions will be created.

To help fill the new jobs, the Mazatzal Casino will hold a job fair from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday and Friday, May 3 and 4, at the tribal gym, southeast of the casino and hotel.

Managers will be speaking to interested applicants.

"They should come prepared for an on-the-spot interview and bring a resume," said Kathy Hinton, director of human resources.

With the opening of the new casino and the 40 all-suites hotel, food and beverage operations will be expanded.

The new construction is a $20 million investment in the Payson community and Rim Country by the Tonto Apache Tribe.

Mazatzal Hotel and Casino is a drug-free workplace.

Gaming licenses require extensive background checks.
