The 15th Annual Business Showcase, hosted by the Rim Country Regional Chamber of Commerce, will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, April 14 in the Tonto Apache Recreation and Fitness Center.
Jay Vagalatos, owner of Crossline Systems, participated in the Business Showcase last year for the first time.
"It went really well," he said. "It was good for word-of-mouth on our products and services unique to our company. We were able to meet other business owners, so it was a good networking opportunity."
Because Crossline's customer base is mostly other businesses, Vagalatos said the participant mixer, which is held the night before the showcase, was especially beneficial to his company. For others, he said, the showcase is oriented toward the consumer.
"I would absolutely recommend that businesses participate," he said.
Jeff and Michelle Marter, owners of Freedom Air Conditioning, Plumbing and Heating, were first-time participants last year and will be returning this year.
"We learned the people of Payson are very friendly and receptive," Michelle Marter said. "We were extremely successful with the showcase."
She said the company generated a lot of business from the showcase and many of the customers they made contact with became repeat clients.
"Setting up and the whole experience was very easy going," she said. "We met a lot of nice people and it was nice to get to know other business owners."
Marter said they will have popcorn and prizes at their booth this year, which will feature a patriotic color theme.
"I highly recommend participating in the showcase," she said. "It's a great place to meet customers face-to-face and shake hands."
Presenting sponsors of the 2007 Business Showcase --Business is Hoppin' -- are the Tonto Apache Tribe and Mazatzal Casino, grand patron sponsors are the Payson Roundup and Weather Masters Heating and Air Conditioning, a division of Aire Serve. The showcase is also made possible with assistance from contributing sponsors and friends of the showcase.
