A Chance To Meet Roundup Readers

John Naughton

Hello, Payson.

The Business Showcase on Saturday was a great introduction to the community. Along with our editor, Autumn Phillips, and advertising executive, Bobby Davis, I had the pleasure of manning our booth.

In keeping with the '50s "Business is Hoppin'" theme, local business people were decked out in everything from Elvis costumes to poodle skirts. Tina Bruess, executive director of the Rim Country Regional Chamber of Commerce, kept the place hoppin' throughout the day.

During the day, I met many of you, our readers. It was great to hear the many positive comments about our newspaper and the ideas on how we can do things better.

We are lucky to have a strong chamber of commerce, led by Tina Bruess, her staff and the many volunteers it takes to run this organization, promoting area business and the livability of Payson. Also, the many sponsors of this event and the companies paying for booth space are to be commended on their support.
